Middle East Christian Committee

The Middle East Christian Committee (MECHRIC) is an international Federation of Middle East Christian NGOs which aim at raising issues related to human rights, democracy and pluralism in the Greater Middle East in general and the Eastern Christian communities in particular.

It focuses on telling the rich and ancient story of the oldest Christian communities that originated in the Middle East and are struggling to survive in their indigenous lands. We speak for those who have been silenced and advocate for them so that the Christian message will once again grow in the lands where Christ first proclaimed God’s love for humanity.

MECHRIC reaches out to the international community including the United Nations, the European Parliament, the US Congress, UNESCO, regional organizations and national legislative assemblies around the world to seek recognition and support for freedom and democracy in the region.
