The World Council of the Cedars Revolution is disturbed by the beatings administered by Lebanese Officials to youth in Jounieh yesterday. The Lebanese Armed Forces are capitulating to the will of Hezbollah and their thuggish rulers in Iran to put down the Lebanese Revolution. Now they take out the rage of the militia on innocent teens who have every right to protest their bleak future caused by the failed and corrupt policies of the Aoun/Hezbollah government. The security forces should maintain order and protect the citizens’ right to peacefully protest – not attack them for doing so.

“We are watching closely the crumbling of the Lebanese State and the acts of brutality being carried out by their security forces and proxies. They will be reported to the proper authorities in Washington and The Hague and be held fully accountable at the proper time” said John Hajjar, Co-Director of the World Council of the Cedars Revolution.
